We hope that you all had a peaceful 'half-term' and that you all managed to enjoy time outdoors in the sunshine.

Welcome back to Home Learning. Many thanks to all who have contributed to their class Padlet page. Please continue to check your specific Padlet page for updates and messages from your teachers. We just love seeing pictures of all the wonderful things that you have are doing - buildings, models, writing, drawing, baking....what a busy bunch you all are!

Summer Term, Week 2: Home Learning

Dear all,

Welcome back to Home Learning.

Thank you to everyone who completed the feedback form about Home Learning. We have taken your feedback into consideration and you will notice that the format is now somewhat different.

Many people requested the learning to be ‘chunked’. You will see that we have prioritised Reading, Phonics, Writing and Maths and that there is a daily slide for these activities.

Towards the end of the Home Learning pack you will find some suggestions for wider-learning activities. These could be completed throughout the week, if you are able to.

We also now have access to Big Cat books online. In the slides, you will find information about how to access these.

Please email office@mhi.org.uk if you have any problems and we will try to help you if we can.

Many thanks,

Reception Team

Summer Term, Week 1

Message from the Teachers

We hope everyone is safe and well. Over the Easter holidays we are not going to be 'setting' home learning tasks. We hope you can use this time to play, cook, create, relax and have fun! If you are celebrating Easter or Passover, we hope you have a lovely time.

We have uploaded some booklets with Easter, Passover or general activities, if you were looking for some ideas of something to do. There is no expectation for anyone to do any of these. These are suggestions put together by teachers for anyone who wants a few ideas all in one place.

We have tried to choose activities that are straight forward, low prep and would appeal to children of different ages (for those who have siblings). Feel free to explore any of the links we put on a few weeks ago if you haven't had time to do so yet.

We hope you have a wonderful Easter break.

Best wishes,

YR Team
