Information for parents: Breakfast Club
Breakfast club is open to all children at both Moss Hall Schools from YR to Y6. The club is open from 7.45 am every morning and is held in the Infant and junior Dining Rooms. We aim to provide children with a calm and enjoyable start to their day whilst supporting working families. We provide a light healthy breakfast.
From 8.45 am staff escort Infant children to their classrooms and Junior children to the Junior Office from where they will get themselves to class following our new entry systems
In light of DfE guidance for schools including the operation of before and after clubs and activities we have altered some of the former arrangements to ensure we can maintain distance, cleanliness and remain in line with the operational risk assessments in place for the 2 schools.
How do I secure a place for my child or children?
ook in advance if you would like your child to attend the club. Email Paula at email@example.com to request the days that you need. These will be offered on first come basis.
When your place is confirmed you must fill out a registration form and submit this to Breakfast Club.
Your child doesn't have to attend every day if you don't want them to. You can book ad-hoc places if you need to – but these can only be allocated if we have vacancies on any one day i.e. we are not booked at capacity (60 places).
Where do we enter?
This year, to reduce movement through the buildings, entry to breakfast club is through the learning garden. Parents should enter the pedestrian gate at Nether street and turn left down the path into the garden before the School house/ school kitchen.
Parents should bring children to the entry door between the infant and junior block and watch as children register.
Parents must not drive into the Nether Street entrance or staff car park. Parking is available on Moss Hall Grove or Essex park.
The breakfast session costs £3.75 per day with a concession of £3.25 for any additional siblings and £2.25 for families on income support.
To help keep costs low parents must use our online payment system at www.schoolmoney.co.uk. (We will send you a text message inviting you to access the School Money website with your login details.)
Payment can also be made by child care vouchers.
As part of our commitment to healthy eating at Moss Hall, the breakfast club offers toast, sugar free cereals, milky drinks and fruit juices.
Your child should arrive before 8.25am if they want to eat breakfast.
There are a wide range of activities for the children to do including board games, computer, arts and crafts, sports activities and construction toys.
Children can also do their homework.
There are lots of playground resources for outside play too.
